PAST Featured Photographers

The Georgetown Texas Photography Festival has showcased talented photographers from around the state of Texas each year. Check out some of our past featured artists since 2019:

Kathy Adams Clark

Kathy Adams Clark has been a professional nature photographer since 1995. She leads photo tours through Strabo Tours to countries including Costa Rica, Brazil, Spain, Africa, Italy, Peru, Morocco, and Norway. Kathy’s photos have been published in hundreds of places including New York Times, Ranger Rick, Family Fun, Nature's Best, Birder's World — and Kathy’s photos have appeared on magazine covers of Texas Highways, Texas Parks & Wildlife, and AAA Journey. Her photos appear every week in the "Nature" column in the Houston Chronicle written by her husband, Gary Clark.  Kathy and Gary have worked with national publishing houses to produce ten books that combine their photography and writing skills.  Their latest books are Book of Texas Birds published by Texas A&M University Press and Backroads of Texas published by Voyageur Press.

Christ Chavez

How to hold the power of light in a dark time in my binational bicultural region? For the past 20 years I’ve been photographing moments in my beloved frontera as they fade away. Beyond the politics, strong woman figure, activist, the rituals that Fronterizos still embrace-I try not to force the gentlest moment of an image. As I look back at my work, I have come to understand that to stay grounded and out of this darkness we must remain in search of the light.  IG: @christ_chavez

Tiffany Hofeldt

Followed by Barack Obama, retweeted by space journalists and rocket scientists, and a lover of the Oxford comma, photomaven Tiffany Hofeldt goes above and beyond for her craft. When immersing herself in her photojournalistic magazine assignments, she creates vibrant and emotive images; a talent she then brings to every wedding.  When she's not on the road shooting for Texas Highways or photographing weddings, her time is occupied by her car-enthusiast son and her overly energetic golden retriever, Charger.  Through multiple lighting set-up changes, one thing has remained a constant and that is a Nikon (or two) in her hands. Find Tiffany and say hello, she’s eager to share some massive tips and tricks from her 15+ years as a professional photographer. IG: @hellotiffanyphoto

Sean Fitzgerald

Sean is a Texas-based nature and conservation photographer. Sean tries to create images that are simple, graphic, evocative, surreal and that in some way evoke a reaction, provoke an emotion, or tell a story. While his photographic subjects are widely varied, he is repeatedly drawn to nature and wildlife and the impact of man on both. He has won numerous regional and national photo contests, including the Wildlife in Focus Contest (twice), Texas Tech University’s High and Dry Contest, and PhotoMedia’s World in Focus photo contest. His career has been featured in Professional Photographer Magazine and CBS News recently named Sean one of the 10 emerging artists in the Dallas area. Sean received the Rising Star Photographer Award at the Fotofusion International Photography Festival and his career has been featured in Professional Photographer Magazine and other publications. The Bravo Network has featured his artwork on several home redesign shows including the original Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. IG: @sean.fitzgerald
