What Is the Photo Fest?
The Texas Photography Festival is a one-day event held in Georgetown, Texas, that showcases up to 12 selected photographers from around the state of Texas and features them, alongside a handful of their best images, inside participating businesses on the Georgetown Square. The event, now in its sixth year, hosted by the Williamson Museum and David Valdez, attracts photo enthusiasts from across the state to engage with fellow photographers, document the beauty of Georgetown, and learn from hands-on experience through multiple photo walks around the Square and learning opportunities through classes and speakers housed in the Georgetown Library.
At the 2024 festival, we announced a big name change! No longer operating under the “Georgetown Texas Photography Festival,” the festival now represents the entire state of Texas as THE TEXAS PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL! We’re still Georgetown through and through and we’re still backed by the Williamson Museum, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to grow our event with this amazing new name.
